We couldn’t find a food we trusted, so we made one — the way a butcher who loved his own dog would.
The Beginning
Hound & Bone started the way most good ideas do, out of genuine care for a dog. As passionate dog owners ourselves, we started asking the same questions a lot of pet owners eventually ask: what's actually in this food? Where does it come from? Is there something better? We found raw feeding. And once we understood it, we couldn't unfind it. The problem was that getting quality raw dog food in Edmonton wasn't as straightforward as it should be. So we decided to do something about it, building a local business focused entirely on making raw feeding easier, more accessible, and more transparent for Edmonton dog owners. Hound & Bone isn't a warehouse operation or a faceless online retailer. We're dog lovers who handle every product with the same care we'd want for our own dogs.
